In 2026, global NEV penetration is projected to surpass 35%, with China nearing 50%. This rapid growth is reshaping demand across the sensor supply chain, driving higher requirements for sensors at every stage—from battery management to autonomous driving.

In Battery Management Systems (BMS), the adoption of 800V high-voltage platforms demands voltage sensors with higher insulation ratings and measurement precision. At the same time, the need for early warning of battery thermal runaway has driven dense deployment of gas and temperature sensors within battery packs, increasing per-vehicle sensor usage by approximately 40% compared to traditional platforms.

In thermal management, the growing complexity of heat pump systems has expanded temperature and pressure sensor deployment from traditional 5-8 to 15-20. The use of CO₂ refrigerants introduces new challenges for sensor pressure resistance and corrosion resistance.

In autonomous driving, the rapid adoption of L2+ and higher-level assisted driving has driven demand growth for millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic sensors, and inertial measurement units (IMUs). In-cabin monitoring (DMS/OMS) has also emerged as a new incremental market.
